Dazzling smiles were worn by all of Hafod’s winning Human Resources (HR) team on Friday 15 November during this year’s prestigious CIPD Awards, at Cardiff City Hall.

Congratulations to the whole HR department on winning Best-In House team, and to Keisha Walters, Learning and Development Facilitator, on winning the Emerging Practitioner of the Year award.

The third annual CIPD Awards hosted by Carol Vorderman, showcased the best people across Wales working in HR and people development.

Alison Woodward, Head of HR and Learning and Development at Hafod, has led the team in making huge strides in the way they support colleagues over the past year. She said: “I’m so proud to be part of the team and I am elated for Keisha. Together we have achieved amazing results through effective team working, which has had a positive impact on our colleague and business performance.”

Keisha Walters, Learning and Development Facilitator, was successful in securing a permanent position with Hafod following the completion of a two year apprenticeship. She said: “I’m overjoyed and so thankful to have won such an award!”

“Since I started my new role at Hafod, I’m proud to say I’ve implemented an induction scheme, mentored work placement students, designed and delivered leadership training. Without the support of my colleagues in HR, I would not be where I am today. Thank you to the whole team who are absolutely brilliant.”
