HSG FM Group, a Cardiff-headquartered business, has successfully acquired Radish, a contract catering services company, in a deal advised on by GS Verde Group.

Established in 2015, HSG FM Group provides a range of services to support businesses in meeting specific requirements to a professional and high standard. The company aims to develop long-term working partnerships with clients, helping them achieve success through a single approach to facilities management.

The acquisition of Radish is a strategic move to expand HSG FM’s rapidly growing catering division, which now boasts revenues surpassing £25m per annum and employs over 500 staff. This acquisition follows the purchase of TCS Education Catering, a Kent-based business, in June 2023.

Ashley Govier, Director of HSG FM Group said: “This is an incredibly exciting deal as it continues to diversify our portfolio whilst taking a big step towards our strategic goal of a strong commercial network from South Wales to London and beyond.”

With Radish being well known for using local produce and the best quality ingredients, the acquisition felt like a natural fit for HSG as both companies share similar values regarding producing innovative, healthy food.

The transaction will see HSG FM Group further strengthen and grow its operations and teams, with the senior leadership team at Radish remaining the same as both companies join their skills and expertise. Having Radish on board will enable HSG FM Group to expand its service coverage across the South-East, grow its current education catering division, and enter new markets, including Assisted Living and the B&I sector.

In 2023, HSG FM Group marked an impressive milestone by topping the Wales Fast Growth 50 index, showcasing its rapid expansion in Wales and across the UK and demonstrating HSG FM Group’s remarkable achievements.

With the acquisition of Radish, HSG FM Group is poised for continued growth and success. The company looks forward to building on its strong foundation, driven by a motivated and dedicated team, to provide exceptional catering services across the UK.

Award-winning dealmaking business GS Verde Group were pleased to support HSG FM Group on the acquisition transaction as the business continues its buy-and-build strategy.

Mr Govier added: “We are delighted to have completed this deal and are continuing to look for further targets as remain keen to grow through acquisition.  We are grateful for the support of GS Verde and we have enjoyed working with their multi-discipline team to get this deal done”.
