Renowned for the fastest wetsuits in triathlon, Huub has been announced as the official sponsor of a new endurance race series launching this month.

[aoa id=”1″]The Huub Track Attaque is a series of cycling endurance team challenges with events taking place across Britain’s leading indoor and outdoor velodromes and race circuits. Each event is team based, and either 12 or 24 hours in duration, a real test of endurance, often gruelling, mentally testing, but instantly addictive![/aoa]

The event series is being organised by Attaque Cycling Events, headed up by Zoe Westerman, who was named in the ‘100 Women in Cycling’ last year and is sponsored by leading triathlon and cycling apparel brand, Huub, who also partnered with Welsh Triathlon earlier this year.

Zoe Westerman, Director, Attaque Cycling Events said:

“It’s an honour to be launching my new events series with one of the best cycling and triathlon apparel brands in the world. The next few years are going to be really exciting and Huub’s contribution will really help drive the events forward and reach more people”.

Track Attaque aims to create an even more thrilling experience for all levels of cyclist, from the triathlete in training to those considering an introduction into the sport or who have never had the opportunity to ride a velodrome track before.

Renowned for the fastest wetsuits in triathlon, Huub have recently turned their attention into cycling, starting with supporting the Huub Wattbike Team, who continue to mark their mark in the track cycling world. More recently, to coincide with launching a women’s range, both Katie Archibald and Neah Evans were seen sporting Huub branded skinsuits at the National Track Championships in Manchester.

Dean Jackson, owner of Huub Design said:

“Having recently moved into cycling, all eyes have been on track, thanks to the HUUB Wattbike team shaking up the world of elite track cycling. It is great to now be able to enter a partnership with an endurance cycling series that offers such a unique velodrome experience, not just for the cyclist or triathlete, but also for those that have never ridden a track before.”

The event series kicks off in September with a 12-hour challenge at Darley Moor Race Circuit, Derbyshire, where teams can be made up of 2, 3 or 4 riders, a Sportive based from Carmarthen Velodrome, and a 12 hour event planned for Pembrey Cycle Circuit early next year. All events can be found on the web site and entries are already open.
