Huw Warren has been appointed the new head of commercial of Glamorgan Cricket and will begin his new role in June. Huw will move from his role as head of commercial at Ospreys Rugby to assume responsibility for the commercial operations of Glamorgan Cricket at an exciting time for the Club and the game at large.

Born in Abergavenny and living in Cardiff, Huw has a strong commercial background in sport having spent time in leadership roles at Bath Rugby and Ospreys and his knowledge and experience of the current market in Wales set him apart as the outstanding candidate from the recent recruitment process.

Speaking of the appointment Glamorgan Chief Executive Hugh Morris said:

“I am delighted to welcome Huw to Glamorgan CCC at such an exciting time for the Club.

“Following the recent announcement of a Team in the new T20 competition and confirmation of our international programme until 2024, Huw has the ideal opportunity to grow the profile and interest in the game of cricket in Wales.”

“Huw has a proven track record of delivering commercial success at two of the biggest rugby clubs in the country and I am confident he will enjoy the same levels of success in cricket. We are looking forward to welcoming him to the Club”

    Huw Warren said:

“’I’m really looking forward to joining Glamorgan CCC in June at an exciting time for the Club on and off the field. Developing a strategy to grow the profile of cricket in Wales and engage new audiences will be at the heart of the delivering a successful commercial operation for the Club.

“I’ve enjoyed the challenge in working for two world renowned rugby brands and will strive to transfer these insights to grow the Glamorgan CCC brand in Wales.”
