The winners of The South Wales Chamber of Commerce Welsh Business Awards 2018 have been revealed at a glittering awards ceremony held at City Hall in Cardiff, with businesses from across Wales recognised for their innovation, growth and success.

The night’s biggest winner was CellPath Ltd who won the Success Through Overseas Trade category, before being named Welsh Business of the Year, at the ceremony, which was hosted by Welsh presenter Gethin Jones.

Also honoured on the night, was the late Jon Davies, Director of Lightology, who was awarded the President’s award for his dedication as an advocate of the Chamber. Jon sadly passed away at the beginning of the year, and his award was accepted by his family on his behalf.

Heather Myers, Director of South and Mid Wales Chamber of Commerce said: “The judges had an incredibly difficult time selecting winners for each of the categories, which is absolute testament to the calibre of the entrants this year.

“It was great to see so many hard-working businesses celebrating their success with their teams and gaining the recognition they deserve for all they have done to enhance the Welsh economy.

“CellPath Ltd is a globally ambitious company that is helping to cement Wales as a hub for innovation, all the while continuing to stay true to their core family-orientated values.

“It was also a great privilege for us to hand the President’s award over to Jon Davies’ family. Jon epitomised what it meant to be a Chamber member, as well as being a much-loved friend to us all.”
