The Lawns Industrial Estate in Rhymney currently hosts a number of existing units and will welcome three new buildings of fifteen individual units by the end of 2020. Units are available to lease from Caerphilly County Borough Council and will consist of eight 50m2 units, four 75m2units and three 98m2 units.

Welsh construction and civil engineering company EnCon Construction Ltd. have been commissioned to extend the current land in Rhymney into high quality, light industrial factory units as part of the investment in infrastructure in the South East Wales region. This project has been made possible with funding from Caerphilly County Borough Council and the European Regional Development Fund through Welsh Government. The £2.9m project is a much welcomed boost to the local economy with the prospect of employment for local people.

Cllr Sean Morgan, Caerphilly CBC Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Transportation and Sustainability said “Supporting our local economy is particularly important during this current period of national crisis and the investment in Rhymney is warmly welcomed.  The expansion of Lawns Industrial Estate will support the growth of existing local businesses, as well as encouraging new businesses into the area; bringing with them job opportunities for local people.

The Caerphilly county borough really is a great place to do businesses and I’d encourage prospective tenants to get in touch to find out more about the new units in Rhymney.”

EnCon Construction resumed work at the site after around 4 weeks after shutdown due to COVID-19, and are optimistic that completion can be achieved by the of the end of 2020.

Keith Pritchard, Site Manager for Encon said “We are pleased to be working on this prestigious scheme with Caerphilly County Borough Council, which brings great business start-up opportunities to the area”

Further information on the high quality business units will be placed on Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Property Website towards the end of the year, together with rental information. To register interest, email: [email protected] or phone: 01443 864142.
