Comedy favourite John Bishop has confirmed he will bring his brand new stand-up show to Cardiff as part of a major UK and Ireland tour in spring 2027.

The Liverpool-born comedian will perform at Utilita Arena Cardiff on Tuesday 11 May 2027 with his new show Let’s Go Round Again. Tickets start from £25 plus fees.

The tour announcement follows the huge success of John’s sold-out ‘25’ tour last year, which marked 25 years since his first stand-up performance. Despite initially planning to take a break, Bishop said he is keen to get back on the road and start developing fresh material.

John said: “After my 25 tour last year I thought I would take time off, but I loved it so much I am itching to get on the road again. Nothing beats being on a stage and hearing people laugh. I know 2027 will come round fast and people are really ready for a good laugh.”

Let’s Go Round Again will kick off in Leeds on 29 April 2027 before travelling to major cities across the UK, including Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London, before finishing in Dublin on 16 May.

The tour news comes alongside the UK cinema release of the new film Is This Thing On? on 30 January. The film, inspired by John’s life, is directed by Bradley Cooper and stars Cooper alongside Will Arnett and Laura Dern.

Since first stepping on stage in 2000, John Bishop has become one of the UK’s most successful comedians, selling out arenas, releasing the fastest-selling stand-up DVD in UK history and fronting numerous hit TV shows across the BBC, ITV and Sky. He has also appeared in Doctor Who and starred alongside Sir Ian McKellen in the UK and Ireland tour of Mother Goose.

Later this year, Bishop will also return to BBC One on Saturday nights as the host of a new eight-part entertainment series, Wisdom of the Crowd.

Tickets for the Cardiff date and the rest of the tour go on sale at the end of January.
