John Lewis & Partners Cardiff has today announced that next week (28 September) it will launch a new, exclusive ‘pop up’ Quality Street station in its shop where customers can create bespoke tins of the much-loved sweets.

Last year, John Lewis became the first retailer to offer customers at a few shops, a ‘pick and mix’ option to fill a tin with their three favourite sweets. This Christmas, for the first time ever, John Lewis & Partners will make Christmas dreams come true for Welsh Quality Street fans, by also offering customers the unique chance to fill a tin with any single, favourite sweet from the full selection of 13 varieties, ensuring that none are left at the bottom of a tin.

Customers will also be able to personalise their tin by replacing the word ‘Quality’ with their name or street e.g. Mary Street or Smith Street, as John Lewis extends its Quality Street tin etching service to Cardiff.

John Lewis & Partners has also announced that this Christmas it’s adding a new, exclusive Quality Street sweet to the much loved 12 traditional sweets it will sell in the Cardiff shop.

Named the ‘Crispy Truffle Bite’, the new sweet has a smooth praline centre mixed with deliciously crispy cereal bites, covered in milk chocolate and wrapped in the John Lewis & Partners’ Christmas colours of black and gold.

The ‘Crispy Truffle Bite’ will go on sale, when the Quality Street personalisation station opens in Cardiff.

Rachel Costello, Partner & Gift Food buyer at John Lewis commented: “Last year our customers response to the personalised Quality Street tins was overwhelming.  This year we have gone even bigger with an exclusive sweet, only sold in our shops, and for the first time ever, customers can choose to ‘pick and don’t mix’, ensuring there are no chocolates left languishing at the bottom of a tin. I hope our customers in Cardiff will enjoy making personalised tins filled with their own favourites.”

Those customers who bought an exclusive John Lewis & Partners tin of Quality Street last year and kept hold of it will be able to return it to a shop and refill it for a lower price.

    Prices:

    • Choose your favourites and personalise the tin £15
    • Choose your favourites in an exclusive John Lewis & Partners tin £12
    • Refill your exclusive John Lewis & Partners tin from last year £10
    • Mixed ready filled tin £7.50
