Lidl GB has confirmed that its tenth store in the City will be opening on Thursday 9th December.

The new store on Cardiff Bay Retail Park, Cardiff will have opening times between 8am – 10pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am – 4pm on Sunday, delivering Lidl’s offering of fresh, quality and great value produce to even more of the local area.

During the first week of opening customers will be able to find exclusive deals and offers on selected products including Digital Night Vision Binoculars on Thursday 9th December (£24.99), a Sharp Portable Bluetooth Party Speaker on Friday 10th December (£44.99) and a Professional Stand Mixer on Saturday 11th December (£39.99) – all perfect Christmas presents for that special someone.

Part of the company’s ongoing £1.3bn expansion and regeneration plans across Great Britain for 2021 and 2022, the store will create around 40 new jobs for the local community. The new supermarket will have a 1,240m2 sales area and feature facilities including an in-store bakery, and customer toilet with baby changing facilities.

A spokesperson for Lidl GB commented: “It is fantastic that we are able to open our doors and welcome local residents into our highly anticipated store in Cardiff Bay. We’re particularly excited that it marks our tenth store in the city, which shows the increased demand for Lidl products in the area. We would like to thank everyone who has played a part in delivering this store and we look forward to serving our multi-award-winning products to even more of the local community.”
