Christmas shoppers can look forward to ‘A Very Merry Maesteg Christmas Market’, taking place on Saturday 13 December between 11am and 3pm in Maesteg Market Square.

Organised by the council’s Economic Development & Enterprise team, the festive event will transform the square with local stalls, handmade gifts, and seasonal food and drink, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for families, residents, and visitors.

Building on the success of the ‘Maesteg on the Menu’ event in October, which brought significant footfall and positive feedback from traders and the public alike, the Christmas market continues the council’s commitment to supporting local enterprise and providing valuable trading opportunities for small businesses.

Live performances, including local school choirs and community groups, will add to the festive feel throughout this free event, complementing the stalls and activities on offer.

I am delighted to support this fantastic event which will not only provide an afternoon of festive cheer and community celebration but also reinforce our ongoing commitment to promote local enterprise and encourage people to ‘shop local’ this Christmas.

Councillor Neelo Farr, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Economic Development and Housing
