Mallows Bottling, the multi-award winning contract bottler of alcoholic and soft drinks, has been named Manufacturer of the Year (under £25 million) at the Made in the UK Awards 2025. The ceremony took place at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, celebrating the UK’s most innovative and successful manufacturers.

Founded in 2021 by father and son team Andy and Rhys Mallows, the Llantrisant-based company has rapidly grown to become Wales’ largest spirits and soft drink contract bottler. Mallows Bottling partners with leading brands such as Papa Salt Gin (Founded by Margot Robbie), Lidl and Millennium Group, with services spanning from product development to warehouse logistics and supply chain management.

The Manufacturer of the Year award recognises companies that demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to quality. Mallows Bottling’s recent investments in advanced bottling technology across its five lines, sustainable practices, and staff development have set new industry standards. These strategic moves have led to a near doubling of their annual turnover and a remarkable 250% increase in production volumes, with the capacity to process up to 42,000 bottles per hour for markets all across the world.

This recognition comes at a time when the UK manufacturing sector is handling both challenges and opportunities. Mallows Bottling continues to demonstrate its growth trajectory, having recently launched a new 5-litre squash product line that is already projected to deliver an estimated £700,000 in incremental annual revenue.

Rhys Mallows, managing director of Mallows Bottling, comments on the achievement: “We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our employees, partners, and customers. Your support and trust have been instrumental in our recent success. We are also grateful to the Made in the UK Awards for providing a platform and such a fantastic event to celebrate the achievements of the UK’s vibrant manufacturing community.

“As we celebrate this achievement, we remain committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in bottling and manufacturing. We look forward to continuing to innovate, inspire, and lead the way for British (and of course Welsh!) manufacturing excellence in the coming years.”
