Detectives investigating the death of 21 year-old Keyron Curtis have charged a 24 year-old man with manslaughter.

Daniel Howells-Thomas, of Llwynderi, Penywaun was also charged with an offence of common assault – this relates to a separate incident which occurred at the same location at approximately the same time on Sunday (Oct 17).

He will appear before Merthyr Magistrates Court today.

Detectives investigating the incident are continuing their appeal for information.

They are keen to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of the Colliers Arms at approximately 1am on Sunday (October 17).

Officers believe people may have taken footage or photographs of the incident on a mobile phone. People driving passed may also have dashcam footage that can assist their investigation.
