Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay’s premier dining and leisure destination, is proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 with a line-up of free activities designed to help visitors relax, connect, and feel part of something bigger – in line with this year’s theme: “Community – the power of coming together.”

Running from Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 May, the Quay will host a series of events aimed at boosting wellbeing and encouraging meaningful connection, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Cardiff Bay.

On Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 May, visitors are invited to take part in free outdoor yoga sessions led by Vibes Yoga Bar. Running from 10am to 11am each day, these calming classes will take place overlooking the bay, offering a peaceful and scenic way to start the morning. The sessions are open to all abilities and free to attend, with spaces available to book in advance via vibesyogabar.com.

Also on Thursday 15 May, Tanya from Green T Therapy will be returning to Mermaid Quay to offer complimentary 10-minute massages and reiki treatments. Sessions will be available from 10am to 12pm and again from 2pm to 4pm. No advance booking is required – visitors can simply sign up for their slot on the day.

To round off the week’s activities, the Technicolour Choir will perform quayside on Sunday 18 May between 1pm and 2pm. Their uplifting and joyful performance is sure to bring a feel-good finish to a week of wellness at the Quay.

Becky Jones, Marketing Manager at Mermaid Quay, said:
“This year’s theme of community is one that’s close to our hearts. Mermaid Quay is a place where people come together – to eat, shop, relax and connect – and Mental Health Awareness Week gives us a brilliant opportunity to strengthen those bonds. We hope everyone who joins us during the week feels supported, uplifted and part of something special.”

Visitors are advised that work is currently underway to transform the Mermaid Quay multi-storey car park into a brighter, more modern, and user-friendly facility. The refurbishment will include new lighting, signage, painting, security enhancements, and the installation of electric vehicle charging points. During this time, the car park will be closed, and visitors are encouraged to use alternative nearby car parks, such as Q-Park Cardiff Bay and Havannah Street car park.
