Eight young people from Merthyr Tydfil have been treated to a special festive gift from M&S as the countdown to Christmas begins.

[aoa id=”1″]M&S Merthyr Tydfil treated the Willows Youth Centre Troedyrhiw to a hamper bursting with M&S’s Christmas products, including hats, scarves and gloves – perfect for wrapping up in the chilly weather – and toys for the Willows Youth Centre Troedyrhiw to enjoy. The hamper also featured festive food favourites and some special picks from colleagues at M&S Merthyr Tydfil, including M&S Collection knitted gloves, hats and scarfs, along with a range of board games and chocolates such as the Milk Chocolate Selection Box.[/aoa]

Daniel Townsend, Youth and Community Officer at Willows Centre Troedyrhiw, said:

“Thank you so much to colleagues at M&S Merthyr Tydfil for donating the fantastically festive hamper to Willows Centre. The gift has put smiles on the faces of lots of the young people we work with and really put us in the Christmas spirit!”

The gifts were delivered to the group of young people as part of a wider commitment from M&S to Merthyr Tydfil, where the retailer is trialling a range of actions in the community to help tackle the issues that matter most locally, including education, mental health and wellbeing. In Merthyr Tydfil, local initiatives that have taken place this year include Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and Making Every Moment Special, where colleagues embarked on a two-day project to revamp the communal areas in the Cancer Aid Merthyr Tydfil centre.
