Persimmon Homes has found a new construction chief for its East Wales business.

Mathew Fraser-Brown takes the reigns at the Llantrisant-based company, moving from the same role at Bellway Homes South West after a two-and-a-half-year spell there.

He will be leading the construction department in project management, communication and stakeholder engagement, and quality and safety assurance.

Prior to joining Persimmon Homes and his time at Bellway Homes South West, Mathew worked at David Wilson Homes South West and brings with him a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, drive, and commitment to quality in the workplace.

Persimmon Homes East Wales is an accredited five-star developer with sites in Cardiff, Ebbw Vale, Merthyr Tydfill, and Newport. They also have sites in Lydney, Forest of Dean and Leominster, Herefordshire.

Commenting on his appointment, Mathew said:

“I am really pleased to have joined Persimmon and am already enjoying the role.

“Promoting the Persimmon Way, ensuring we build top quality homes, leaving customers satisfied, and dealing with challenges head-on are all part of this job, so I’m looking forward to ensuring the region continues to grow and develop.

“I hope to be able to put my experience in the construction industry to good use as we bring hundreds of new homes each year to communities that need them across East Wales.

Persimmon Homes East Wales Managing Director Lee Hawker added:

“With his years of experience in the industry, I’m delighted that we’ve secured Mathew as our new Construction Director at Persimmon in East Wales.

“We have many outstanding sites across the region with a number of new developments forthcoming, so Mathew’s appointment will help us to deliver on the business’ priorities and build more homes for local families across East Wales.”
