Lloyds Banking Group has appointed Louisa King as its new Group Ambassador for Wales.
Louisa will work closely with local policymakers, business leaders, communities, and charities to champion Wales’s economic potential and growth. Alongside experts across the business, she will help drive forward efforts to improve access to affordable housing across Wales and support the nation’s transition to a low-carbon economy.
Based in Cardiff, Louisa brings extensive financial services experience. Alongside her new responsibilities as Group Ambassador, she will continue in her role as a Director in Lloyds Banking Group’s Risk team, supporting its Insurance, Pensions and Investments business.
Louisa King, Group Ambassador for Wales, said: “Wales has so much to offer – its people, culture and fantastic businesses. As someone who’s incredibly proud to call Wales home, I’m delighted to be taking on this additional role.
Over the coming months, I’m looking forward to visiting as many SMEs and charities across Wales as possible, to better understand both the opportunities and the challenges they’re facing. I want to champion their success and strengthen my ties within the community to help Wales prosper.”
Louisa will lead the Group’s engagement efforts across Wales, drawing on Lloyds Banking Group’s expertise and resources to build financial resilience, promote economic growth, and support sustainability. Her focus will include deepening relationships with stakeholders throughout Wales.
The Ambassador role is part of the Group’s mission to help Britain prosper and to support development across the nations and regions.
Lloyds Banking Group recently shared news of its own major investment in Cardiff, with a new state-of-the-art hub on Callaghan Square set to become home to more than 3,000 South Wales colleagues. The new office is expected to achieve a BREEAM sustainability rating of “Excellent”—a globally recognised certification for sustainable buildings.
