North Wales recruitment firm looks east after taking on new staff

ONE of the region’s top recruitment companies is taking on staff and expanding into NEW territory.

Supertemps – based in Bangor and Colwyn Bay – will open a branch in north east Wales later this summer.

The decision came as Managing Director Sarah Ellwood employed four new workers and revealed further growth will take place this year.

It also follows the news that Letterbox Recruiting ceased trading and closed its Rhuddlan office last week after 17 years in business.

One of the fresh faces at Supertemps is former Letterbox consultant Alex Russell, from Flint, who joins them as a Recruitment Consultant focusing on north east Wales.

“From our perspective expansion has been on the cards for some time; following the revamp of S2 Recruitment, the launch of our construction division and our profile in north west Wales growing even stronger, the time is right to look east,” said Sarah.

“We are currently exploring locations in the Flintshire and Wrexham areas and will open an office there later this year.”

She added: “The addition of Alex in particular, who lives and has worked in north east Wales, will give us a firm foundation on which to build our name in that area.

“We already work with organisations across the UK, but given our foothold in the west of the region we want to target the rest of North Wales.”

Alex is only 21 but already has four years’ experience in the sector and has ambitions to help Supertemps make its mark in new territory.

“This is a very rewarding job and Supertemps is a company that really cares about its clients and candidates, which appealed to me,” he said.

“I’m ambitious, so being part of the company as it grows into an area I know so well, and playing a part in that, is something I’m really looking forward to.”

Alex added: “North east Wales is fantastic region with many different types of industry so we are all really excited to see how things develop and will work hard to establish ourselves in that part of the country.”
