Travel-Technology specialist, Inspiretec continues to expand by creating career opportunities for talented graduates from across Wales, to join their growing team of 140 staff members.

During 2018, Inspiretec employed seven high calibre university graduates, in Junior Software Engineering and Trainee Business Analyst roles. These opportunities have enabled graduates to develop their software skills within a commercial environment directly after graduating.

The graduate job market is immensely competitive and being able to secure a good position before graduating is extremely valuable and a relief for many graduates. After great success, Inspiretec is looking to recruit students who are graduating in 2019. The opportunities available will include Trainee Test Analysts and Junior Software Engineering roles.

Helen Baldwin, Inspiretec HR Director said:

“We have had a positive experience again this year with a fantastic calibre of graduates joining the team and we are looking forward to recruiting a new cohort of graduates with Computer Science and other STEM related degrees in 2019.We have enjoyed engaging with skilled candidates through a variety of ESTnet, university and careers events across South Wales. We are thrilled to be able to develop our future talent by creating these opportunities.”

Career progression within the company is actively encouraged. Graduates joining Inspiretec will be open to many exciting prospects, enabling them to push the boundaries to achieve their full potential.

Inspiretec employee Jason Young, completed his master’s degree in Maths and took part in the Inspiretec bootcamp programme in 2015. By 2016 he had joined the company as Junior Software Engineer and within eighteen months he was promoted to a mid-level software engineer role, highlighting the opportunities to climb the career ladder within the company. When asked what advice he would give to graduates starting in junior positions he said: “It is important not to be discouraged by lack of understanding or any failures in the early stages, the key is to remain open to learning.”

Commenting on the Inspiretec graduate programme, CEO of Inspiretec Simon Powell said:

“We are delighted to provide graduates from Welsh Universities employment opportunities, supporting the Welsh economy as we grow as a company is very rewarding. We operate in a fast-paced industry, so we are keen to develop the skills and technical knowledge of new graduates at an early stage, to develop technology specialists of the future.”
