Over 100 different beers from independent breweries across Wales will feature in the first-ever ‘Indie Beer Cymru’ festival, which takes place in Haverfordwest next month.
The Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) and its Welsh associates are behind the new  festival, which will celebrate the very best of independent Welsh brewing on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th September in HAVERHUB, Haverfordwest’s Community Hub.

Following on from the success of the hugely popular Indie Beer Scotland event in Glasgow, Indie Beer Cymru is set to become a flagship event for the Welsh beer scene. It will bring together a diverse mix of traditional and modern beer styles in a vibrant and welcoming festival setting.

The event will follow the judging of the Indie Beer Awards Cymru, giving festival-goers the exclusive opportunity to taste the best beers in Wales. These champion beers will also go on to compete in the UK-wide finals in early 2026.
Sara Leigh Webber, Regional Director of SIBA Wales and Head of Marketing at Brains Brewery, said: “We are delighted to be presenting the biggest selection of Welsh indie beers available anywhere in a huge range of different beer styles.
“From traditional stouts and bitters, to modern IPAs and speciality beers, Indie Beer Cymru will have something for everyone and we think the HAVERHUB in Haverfordwest is the perfect place to host this new flagship beer festival for Wales.”

The festival sessions are as follows:

    • Session 1: Friday 19th Sept, 12:00pm – 5:30pm
    • Session 2: Friday 19th Sept, 6:00pm – 11:00pm
    • Session 3: Saturday 20th Sept, 12:00pm – 5:30pm
    • Session 4: Saturday 20th Sept, 6:00pm – 11:00pm

Tickets are £5 per session and include a souvenir festival glass. Attendees will be able to purchase beer tokens on-site or in advance, with prices set at £4 per pint and £2 per half pint.
