People are being invited to have their say on plans for the proposed new Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Ogwr as the statutory pre-application consultation gets underway.
The consultation, which opened on Friday 17 July, gives residents and other interested parties the opportunity to view the proposed plans and provide feedback before a planning application is formally submitted.
The proposed development includes a new Welsh-medium primary school on land north of the Princess Way roundabout in Brackla. The plans also include sports pitches, floodlighting, parking, drainage, landscaping and associated engineering works.
Copies of the proposed application, plans and supporting documents are available to view online as part of the consultation.
Anyone wishing to comment on the proposals can submit representations directly to Asbri Planning Limited by emailing [email protected] or writing to Asbri Planning Limited, Unit 9 Oak Tree Court, Mulberry Drive, Cardiff Gate Business Park, Cardiff, CF23 8RS. Alternatively, comments can be submitted using the online form which can be found at the bottom of the Asbri Planning consultation webpage.
While the statutory consultation period is normally 28 days, it has been extended to six weeks to allow additional time during the summer holidays. All comments must be received by Friday 28 August 2026.
Residents, parents and other interested parties are encouraged to view the proposals and share their feedback before the planning application is submitted.
