A brand new street food destination is set to open in Cardiff Bay, bringing a mix of big flavours, independent traders and a lively social space to the waterfront.

Platform Street Food has confirmed it will officially open its doors on April 1, offering food lovers a fresh go-to spot on Bute Street.

Located at Bute Street, Cardiff Bay, CF10 5LS, the new venue promises a vibrant mix of street food favourites, from freshly made pasta and stacked burgers to indulgent desserts and artisan coffee.

Platform aims to bring together some of the best independent food traders, combining bold flavours with a relaxed, social atmosphere. Whether it’s a quick lunch, after-work drinks or a weekend meet-up, the venue is designed to cater for all occasions.

Among the line-up is The Italian Job, serving authentic pasta dishes packed with rich flavours, alongside returning favourite Academy, which will be pouring beers, shaking cocktails and brewing coffee throughout the day and into the evening.

    The Dough Thrower

A number of new traders are also joining the Cardiff Bay offering. Sharkbite Burgers will be serving up stacked, flavour-packed burgers, while The Dough Thrower will dish out freshly made pizzas and loaded sandwiches. For those with a sweet tooth, Lanfaes Dairy will bring award-winning Welsh ice cream, shakes and desserts made with locally sourced ingredients.

With a mix of food, drinks and a buzzing atmosphere, Platform Street Food is expected to become a popular new addition to Cardiff Bay’s growing food and drink scene.

Food lovers won’t have long to wait, with the opening date just around the corner.
