South Wales Police are currently at the scene of an incident in Romilly Park, Barry, with all entrances to the park closed to the public.

Officers confirmed they are dealing with an ongoing situation and have urged residents to avoid the area while enquiries continue. No access is being permitted from any entrance point, and members of the public are being asked to use alternative routes where possible.

The nature of the incident has not yet been disclosed, and police say further updates will be provided when more information becomes available.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “We are at the scene of an incident in Romilly Park, Barry. There is no access to the park from any entrance. Please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Thank you for your patience.”

Motorists and pedestrians in the Barry area are advised to plan ahead and expect disruption around the park until the incident has been resolved.
