South Wales Police have confirmed the sudden death of a man in Romilly Park, Barry, earlier today.
Officers were called to the park at around 7.20am on Monday, February 9, following reports of concern for a person.
Emergency services attended the scene, but the man was sadly pronounced dead.
Police have confirmed that his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and inquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances.
Parts of Romilly Park were closed to the public for several hours while officers carried out their work, and residents were asked to avoid the area.
