South Wales Police are today renewing their appeal for information on the disappearance of Ricky Harris, who would have been celebrating his 33rd birthday.
Instead of a day of celebration, Ricky’s family are marking the occasion with sadness, remembering the last time he was seen.
Detective Inspector Owain Morrison said:
“We are deeply committed to uncovering the truth behind Ricky’s disappearance. Our dedicated team is actively pursuing a thorough and detailed investigation, driven by the hope of bringing Ricky back to his loved ones.
“Since the day he went missing, we have mobilised extensive resources, including Specialist Search officers, dive teams, dog scent units, and support from the police helicopter and drone teams. Our search efforts have not been confined to local areas; inquiries have expanded to North Wales, reflecting the importance of this case.
“Every sighting and piece of information from the public is treated with the utmost seriousness. We are continually reviewing new leads, ensuring that no stone is left unturned. Our officers have diligently examined numerous locations, including rivers, waterways, and dense vegetation, as we strive to explore all practical avenues.
“I want to assure the community that our investigation remains active and ongoing. We are unwavering in our commitment to locate Ricky, and we are in constant communication with his family, keeping them updated on every development in our search.
“As we remember Ricky’s birthday, we urge anyone with information—no matter how small—to come forward. Your help could be crucial in bringing Ricky home. Let’s work together to bring light to this situation and support Ricky’s family.”
Ricky was last seen on CCTV at around 2.20pm on Saturday, November 18, 2023, in Maes-Y-Deri, Aberdare.
