Halloween Spooktacular returns to A Welsh Coal Mining Experience at Rhondda Heritage Park Museum on 30th and 31st October, and this year the event has even more to offer.

    • Pick your own pumpkin in our pumpkin patch
Wander through our Pumpkin Patch and search for your perfect pumpkin, take it home to carve and share your photos with us on Facebook by tagging @rhonddaheritagepark (One pumpkin per child ticket purchased)
    • Get Crafty
Make bouncing spiders and Halloween door decorations.  (One of each craft per child ticket purchased)
    • Halloween Hunt
Our Halloween spooks have escaped and it’s your job to hunt them down! Collect the stamp and receive a treat (or a trick) once you find them all. (One activity card per child ticket purchased)
    • Spooky fun photos
Get those cameras ready and take a ghoulish photo in our selection of spooky photo opportunities. Don’t forget to tag @rhonddaheritagepark on facebook
    • The Abandoned Mine
Do you dare to venture underground into the abandoned mine? Come across Singing Skeletons, Spooky Spiders and more as you walk though this Halloween attraction.  Visitors can dive down in the lift to the abandoned mine as many times as you like within the time slot booked.
    • Fang-tastic fun fair
Two children’s fun fair rides are included in the ticket price.

    Three time slots are available on each day, 10:00 – 12:00, 12:30-14.30 and 15:00 – 17:00.

In addition to all these activities, the team will also be on site with Halloween themed activities and face painting is available.  Please note face painting is not included in the ticket price.

The Chocolate House at Caffe Bracchi will also be holding pumpkin carving and chocolate decorating activities.  Again, these are not included in the Spooktacular ticket and must be booked directly with The Chocolate House here Halloween Workshop | Chocolate House (chocolate-house.co.uk)

Councillor Ann Crimmings, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure said:

A Welsh Coal Mining Experience at Rhondda Heritage Park continues to incredible family-friendly events all year round. The events season started in Easter with Easter Egg-stravaganza then continued with A Summer of Fun and before we know it, Santa’s Toy Mine will be opening its doors to residents and visitors to our County Borough.  Spooktacular is a fang-tastic event and the addition of a pumpkin patch adds to an event which has established itself as a family favourite!  A trip in the lift down to the pit bottom has always been a special part of the tour at this family venue, and Spooktacular visitors will be able to descend as many times as they like during their visit.  Combined with the arts and crafts and Halloween Hunt, it promises to be a great Halloween event.

Entry to Halloween Spooktacular is £9 for participating children £3 for adults.  Tickets are on sale now and available here.

Halloween Spooktacular at A Welsh Coal Mining Experience is sponsored by Nathaniel Cars, who have been keeping the residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf and beyond on the road for more than 35 years, thanks to their friendly teams in Cardiff, Bridgend and Cwmbran.
