Punk legends Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter delivered one of the most explosive nights in Cardiff Castle’s recent history as thousands of fans packed into the iconic venue for a high energy performance as part of TK Maxx presents Depot Live.
Founder members Steve Jones, Glen Matlock and Paul Cook were joined by frontman Frank Carter for an all action set under sunny skies, bringing the spirit of punk rock to the heart of the Welsh capital.
The band wasted no time launching into Holidays In The Sun, Seventeen and New York before tearing through a string of classic tracks including Pretty Vacant, God Save The Queen, No Fun and EMI.
The unforgettable show reached its climax with powerful performances of My Way and Anarchy In The UK, bringing the crowd to its feet for a fitting finale.
Earlier in the evening, fans were treated to sets from The Stranglers, Panic Shack and The Undertones, who helped create a memorable bill celebrating some of the biggest names in punk and alternative music.
The performance formed part of the record breaking 2026 TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle series, which features 24 headline shows from some of music’s biggest artists.
The summer concert series continues tonight (Sunday) when Two Door Cinema Club headline the historic venue, joined by Friendly Fires and 3LIJAH.
