We nipped along to Honest Burgers Cardiff, nestled in the foodie haven of Church Street, to try their latest limited-edition creation: The Truffle Raclette Burger. With its promise of indulgent French cheese, rich truffle, and Honest’s signature quality, expectations were high—and it absolutely delivered.

A Decadent Collaboration with Truffle Guys

The Truffle Raclette Burger marks the third partnership between Honest Burgers and Truffle Guys, and it’s packed with rich, indulgent flavours. This double-truffle delight features homemade white truffle mayo and crispy truffle-dusted shoestring fries for an extra punch of umami goodness.

Taking luxury to the next level, Honest Burgers introduces gooey, melty French raclette cheese, guaranteeing every bite is as rich and comforting as possible. The burger is then finished with crispy bacon, fresh rocket, and pickles, bringing the perfect balance of smoky, peppery, and tangy notes.

    First Impressions

Honest Burgers has a reputation for bold flavours and well-balanced creations, and the Truffle Raclette Burger is no exception. Served in a soft, glossy brioche bun, the burger arrives stacked high, oozing with melted raclette cheese and accompanied by their legendary rosemary salted fries. Before even taking a bite, the aroma of truffle makes an impact.

    The Burger

At its heart, this is a classic Honest Burgers beef patty, cooked to your liking—either medium pink (highly recommended for maximum juiciness and flavour) or well done. The meat is rich, well-seasoned, and perfectly charred, providing just the right amount of bite before melting in your mouth.

The truffle mayo is where the indulgence truly begins. Creamy and aromatic, it enhances the umami of the beef rather than overpowering it. The French raclette cheese is the star of the show—gooey, slightly nutty, and incredibly moreish, coating the burger in a luxurious melt that makes every bite feel decadent.

The crispy bacon adds a smoky crunch, while the peppery rocket provides a fresh contrast to cut through the richness. Pickles add a welcome sharpness, balancing out the deep, savoury notes of the truffle and cheese. One of the most unexpected but brilliant touches is the addition of truffle-dusted shoestring fries inside the burger itself, bringing an extra crispy texture and subtle truffle hit, making each mouthful even more indulgent.

    Customisable to Suit Your Tastes

One of the best things about this limited-edition special is that you can enjoy it your way. The Truffle Raclette Burger is available with three different protein options:

    • Classic Beef – The signature Honest beef patty, juicy and packed with flavour.
    • Double Smashed Beef – A crispy, caramelised take on the traditional burger, with two smashed beef patties for extra texture.
    • Honest Fried Chicken – A crispy, golden fried chicken alternative for those who prefer poultry over beef.

No matter which option you choose, each burger is priced at £15.50, making it an affordable luxury for burger lovers everywhere.

No Honest Burgers meal is complete without their famous rosemary salted fries—and they’re just as good as ever. Crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, and packed with herby flavour, they’re the ideal partner for the burger’s richness.

When and Where to Get It

The Truffle Raclette Burger will be available in all Honest Burgers restaurants and via Uber Eats for takeaway and delivery. However, this indulgent special is only around for a limited time! You can grab it until 17th March 2025—so don’t miss your chance to experience this mouthwatering creation before it’s gone.

    Final Verdict

At £15.50, The Truffle Raclette Burger is a premium-priced burger, but for what you’re getting, it’s worth every penny. The combination of quality beef, indulgent cheese, earthy truffle, and crispy bacon makes for a burger that feels truly special. It’s rich, comforting, and packed with flavour, yet balanced enough that you’re not left feeling overwhelmed. Instead, it’s a meal that leaves you full but already thinking about your next visit.

Honest Burgers has once again raised the bar when it comes to flavourful, high-quality burgers, and the Truffle Raclette Burger is proof of their commitment to innovation and indulgence. Whether you’re a truffle fanatic, a cheese lover, or just someone who appreciates a well-crafted burger, this is an absolute must-try before it disappears from the menu.

So, what are you waiting for? Head to your nearest Honest Burgers location or order via Uber Eats and get your hands on this limited-edition masterpiece before it’s too late!
