Feast On Cardiff will return to Bute Park in 2027 following the success of its first festival in the Welsh capital earlier this year.
The food festival has confirmed it will be back from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 May 2027, with plans to expand the number of restaurants and traders taking part.
Its inaugural Cardiff event attracted 15,000 people, with Saturday selling out.
Post-event feedback saw the festival score an average of eight out of 10 when attendees were asked how likely they were to recommend it, while two in three said they planned to return the following year.
More than eight in 10 rated both the food and live music as good or excellent. Cooking demonstrations were the most popular additional activity, attended by 61% of people who took part in an activity.
Organisers say the 2027 festival will feature significantly more restaurants and traders, alongside a refreshed and upgraded VIP area and improvements across the site.
More than 50 independent restaurants and traders are expected to take part, covering everything from British comfort food and bakeries to Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Caribbean and Cantonese cuisine.
There will also be a range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Bodega, HILLS Brecon and Pasta a Mano were among the favourites at the 2026 event, with the first names for next year’s line-up due to be announced in the coming months.
Festival Director James Haggart said: “Bringing Feast On back to Bute Park for a second year is hugely exciting. The response to our first Cardiff festival gave us a brilliant foundation to build on, and we have taken a lot from the feedback we received from visitors and traders.
“For 2027, we want to make the event bigger and better while keeping independent restaurants and producers right at its heart. Cardiff has such an exciting food scene, and we are looking forward to bringing even more of it together in Bute Park next May.”
Food will once again be accompanied by a wider programme of activities throughout the weekend.
Visitors can expect live cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, cookery school classes, a producer market and live music.
Fairground rides, axe throwing, food talks and the Feast Master games will also return, while wine tasting sessions and cookery school classes will be available as weekend add-ons.
A limited £5 loyalty presale will open on Friday 25 September, offering the lowest-priced tickets available for the 2027 festival.
Prices will then increase through subsequent releases, starting with first release tickets from £8, followed by £10, £12 and £15. Tickets bought on the door will start from £20.
Organisers say ticket income contributes towards the cost of delivering the festival, including the site, event team, infrastructure, entertainment, activities and programming.
James Haggart added: “The response to our first year showed us that there is a real appetite for Feast On in Cardiff, and we expect next year to be even busier. The £5 loyalty presale gives the people who backed us in year one the chance to get their 2027 plans locked in early, at the lowest price we will offer all year.
“Buying early also means we have extra confidence as we build the 2027 festival – helping us invest in the line-up, programme and site to make the second year even stronger.”
