The Royal Mint has appointed Stephanie Morris as the new Head of B2B Sales for Commemorative Coin.  Stephanie joins the 1,100-year-old business following an illustrious career with international FMCG brands including Kellogg’s, Costa Coffee and Mars Inc, deploying and leading their commercial sales activity across the UK.  Following a degree in Law, Stephanie worked most recently as Sales & Marketing Director for a global packaging manufacturer based in Blackwood, South Wales.

As part of its ongoing diversification, The Royal Mint is expanding its key business areas, which includes commemorative coins as well as historic coins and precious metals investment options.  As part of her role, Stephanie will work with a range of international distributors of The Royal Mint’s collectible coins within the secondary market globally, and support the ambitious plans for growth.

Stephanie comments: “The prestige behind the Royal Mint brand was one of the key drivers in me applying for the role.  Having worked with manufacturing firms extensively during my career, I am excited to work for one of the leaders in British craftsmanship.  In addition to that, the product range is so impressive.  From royalty and the upcoming Platinum Jubilee through to amazing childhood character coins like Winnie the Pooh, there are very few companies that allow you the privilege to work with such a diverse product range.”

Stephanie’s career highlights include her time at Mars Drinks, turning the business from perpetual decline to substantial and sustainable growth as a business division.  Stephanie comments: “I think my passion for manufacturing coupled with dedication to the customer is what really drove this change and as a business that’s so dedicated to serving its customers, this is a skill I feel will really benefit my role at The Royal Mint. The customer is at the forefront of activity and I’m delighted to have been appointed into a role where I can really drive this forward.”

Stephanie continues: “My father in law is a collector of coins and has started a collection for my 6 year old son, both of whom were very excited when I got the job at The Royal Mint.  I hope to be able to carry on this tradition but now, I’ll be building my own coin collection alongside theirs.”

Stephanie hails from Ammanford, West Wales originally but now lives near Newport.  Outside of work, she has a keen focus on health and fitness as well as a passion for Ballroom and Latin dancing.
