RTS Cymru Wales launches industry and student awards 2020

The Royal Television Society (RTS) in Wales has announced its 2020 awards – celebrating the best in TV and audio-visual content by industry professionals and student filmmakers in Wales.

In addition to the long-standing students’ honours, the annual awards are being extended to allow broadcasters and independent producers to submit entries in the new Industry categories.

The RTS Cymru Awards 2020 will be held on 27th February next year at Cineworld in Cardiff.

Judith Winnan, Chair of RTS Cymru Wales, said: “We’re delighted to announce our extended awards for 2020. Our student awards are well-established and, as part of our ambitious plans for the RTS in Wales, this year we’re very much looking forward to honouring industry achievements as well.

“It’s been a fantastic year for Welsh programming-making and we know from previous awards how much young filmmaking talent exists in the student community in Wales. We look forward to receiving nominations from broadcasters and producers as well as from the next generation of talented filmmakers to make the 2020 awards our best yet.”
