South Wales storage firm, blue self storage, is going from strength to strength with work commencing on a new site in Bridgend.

Founded in 1988 as Cardiff Self Storage, the company went through a major rebrand in 2019 to enable its expansion outside of Cardiff where it first started.

Since the rebrand, the award-winning storage company has grown significantly from 425 units to 1,025 and currently operates across 3 sites. blue self storage has just started work on a fourth site in Bridgend with two other sites currently in for planning permission. The company also has plans to expand in the South West and is currently looking to speak with land owners, who want to realise value on surplus yard space and car parks.

The news comes as blue self storage has been named Container Operator Site of the Year for its Wentloog site, the second time at the 2023 UK SSA Awards in May.
