CARDIFF Bay’s leading entertainment venue, The Red Dragon Centre, is hosting a summer market to kick off its summer of fun.
Taking place on July 13, the Dragon Bay Summer Market is The Red Dragon Centre’s first venture with Green Top Markets. Located inside the Centre, the market will welcome up to 20 traders and local makers selling gifts, cheeses, breads and more.
Green Top Markets host food and craft markets in south Wales to promote local produce and creating a community hub within a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
The event promises to be an action-packed day for all the family including a selection of traditional games taking place on the Centre’s outdoor external piazza, and free face painting.
Adding to the fun, young Minion fans can snap a picture with the iconic character who will be walking round the Centre to celebrate the release of ‘Despicable Me 4’ playing at the Centre’s ODEON, Wales’ only IMAX screen and one of the Centre’s longest tenants.
All the Centre’s venues will be open as normal, so guests can continue to enjoy the great indoors.
Emma Constantinou, Marketing Manager at The Red Dragon Centre, said: “We are incredibly excited for our first summer market with Green Top Markets, and to be kicking off our events for our Summer of Fun. With the range of sellers and our outdoor games, there is something for everyone and makes this the perfect summer day out for families.
“It has been wonderful to work with Green Top Markets and celebrate the work of local businesses. This project has been in the works for a while and is one that we hope will become a seasonal fixture here at the Centre for years to come.”
