The countdown is officially over as Take That return to Cardiff tonight for one of the biggest live music events of the summer.

The iconic pop group will bring their spectacular The Circus Tour to the Principality Stadium on Tuesday, June 16, with tens of thousands of fans expected to pack the city centre for a night of chart-topping hits, dazzling production and stadium-sized entertainment.

It marks the band’s first Cardiff performance since 2019 and the fifth time they have played at the Welsh capital’s national stadium.

Joining Take That on the bill are special guests The Script and Belinda Carlisle, ensuring an evening packed with some of the biggest songs of the past four decades.

Current stage times, which remain subject to change, are:

    • Belinda Carlisle – 6.30pm
    • The Script – 7.20pm
    • Take That – 8.30pm

Fans heading to the concert are being encouraged to arrive early and make the most of the entertainment, food and facilities available around the stadium.

Cardiff city centre road closures will come into force from 3pm, while stadium gates open at 5pm.

With warm weather forecast and the Principality Stadium roof set to remain open, concertgoers are being advised to prepare for a long evening in the sunshine before the main event begins.

Visitors are encouraged to stay hydrated and can bring an empty collapsible water bottle of up to 500ml into the stadium. Free water refill stations will be available throughout the venue.

Fans are also advised to wear suitable clothing for the conditions and apply sunscreen before travelling.

Food and drink options will be available throughout the stadium, including an exclusive Circus Burger inspired by the tour. Other options include hot dogs, loaded nachos, nacho-topped chicken tenders and a range of stadium favourites.

Designated drivers can claim £1 off soft drinks by completing the Designated Driver form within the official fan guide.

Outside the stadium, fans arriving early will find a selection of food trucks and bars across the stadium plazas, serving everything from steak, tacos and burritos to Greek street food, burgers, coffee and cocktails.

The popular Pitch Side Bar will also be open before the show, allowing concertgoers to soak up the atmosphere ahead of Take That’s arrival on stage.

Those looking for a souvenir from the evening will be able to purchase official Take That merchandise from retail outlets both inside and outside the stadium.

With thousands expected to travel to Cardiff from across Wales and the UK, organisers are urging visitors to plan their journeys in advance.

Road closures around the stadium will be in place from 3pm, while additional rail services and dedicated parking arrangements have been put in place to help manage the large crowds.

Drivers are encouraged to use official Park & Ride facilities where possible, while rail passengers should check their travel plans before setting off and be prepared for queuing systems at Cardiff stations after the concert.

A full event guide, including travel information, stadium regulations and venue maps, is available through the Principality Stadium website.

Tonight’s show is expected to be one of the biggest live events in Cardiff this summer, as Take That once again bring their circus back to the Welsh capital.
