    Teen cyclist, 16, dies after collision with car in Cardiff

    A teenage cyclist has died following a collision with a car in Cardiff.

    South Wales Police have confirmed that officers are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which happened at the junction of Penarth Road and Clare Road at around 12.25pm on Wednesday.

    The incident involved a car and a cyclist. A 16-year-old boy from Grangetown tragically died as a result.

    His family is being supported by specially trained officers.

    Police have also issued a warning about footage of the incident being shared online.

    A spokesperson said: “We are aware of footage of this incident being shared on Facebook and other forms of social media. Please consider the impact on the family of the victim and refrain from sharing this further.”

    Enquiries into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing.
