The man who died in Barry on Monday night has been named as 38-year-old Kamran Aman.

Police were called to a report of stabbing in Barry Road just before midnight on Monday, June 30.

Father of one Kamran died, and a murder investigation was launched.

His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.

An incident room has been set up at Cardiff Central Police Station and detectives are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.

Detective Superintendent Mark O’Shea, of the force’s Major Crime Team, said: “Extensive enquiries are continuing as we establish the tragic events which took place on Monday night. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Kamran Aman.

“Police cordons and road closures are still in place, and I would like to thank the community for their continued support and understanding while we progress the investigation.

“We are appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened to please come forward with information no matter how insignificant they may feel it is.”

Two males, aged 16 and 17, from Llantwit Major, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody.
