    Here’s our guide to the top Halloween and Autumn half term events taking place this week in Cardiff.

    Monday 29th October

    • Circus Workshop – STAR Hub
      Join No Fit State for circus workshop, children age 5+

    • Creepy Crawlies (Oct 29 – 30)
      The return of our ever-popular Hallowe’en animal sessions. This hour-long session will enable visitors to get close to variety of creepy creatures, from maggots, and frogs to lizards and snakes.

    • Spider Encounter(Oct 29 – 30)
      What makes people so scared of spiders? Join us for an in-depth insight into these fascinating creatures and then get a chance to test your nerve by seeing how it feels to hold a tarantula. Children – see whether the adults are as brave as you and manage to face their fears!

    • Ghostly Knights– Cardiff Castle (October 28 – 31)
      Following his appearance at Cardiff Castle last year, the Black Knight returns.  Join us to help our brave knights find out a way to conquer this evil being.

    • Hallowe’en Cinema at Cardiff Castle(Oct 29 – 3 Nov)

    • The Cardiff Story Museum
      Young audiences are enticed through its doors with a pirate themed storytelling session in Dewi’s Den, in the museum’s City Lab Gallery. Bilingual arts company Dan yr Haul / Under the Sun will inspire young imaginations with music, art, and stories, using pirate-themed props and tales. https://cardiffmuseum.com/events/ 
    • Spooky Science – Techniquest

    • Pumpkin Carving – Bute Park
      Carve a pumpkin in aid of Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales. Pettigrew Tea rooms, under outdoor gazebo. 10 – 12.

    • Sparks in the Park 2018!
      This year’s event brought to you by Cardiff Round Table, will once again be TICKET ONLY with no admission on the night. So, make sure you and your family don’t miss out. Gates open at 4:30pm on Saturday 3rd November with children’s fireworks at 5:45pm and the main fireworks from 7:00pm.
      All profits from Sparks in the Park will be donated to charities and good causes in the local community and the event is supported by Heart.
