The New Saints have announced the signing of goalkeeper Becca Elliott as the squad continues to take shape ahead of the new season.

Elliott makes the move to Park Hall having most recently played for Bangor Women.

The Saints’ newest recruit also boasts international accolades, having made appearances for both Wales’ U17 and U19 sides during her career to date.

Prior to her time at Bangor, Elliott has played for a wide range of clubs in the Welsh football pyramid including Flint Town United, Prestatyn Town, Llandudno and Caernarfon Town.

The 25-year-old will be hoping to play a key role in between the sticks for Shauna Duffy’s side as they look to get off to a strong start when the new Genero Adran Premier season begins in September.

Speaking on her arrival at the club, Becca Elliott said:

“I am extremely proud to be joining The New Saints. The club has great facilities and a full team of staff which includes a dedicated women’s goalkeeping coach, so this is the perfect step for me to continue developing in my career and an ideal opportunity to return to the Genero Adran Premier.

“I am looking forward to lining up alongside my new teammates and making a strong start to the new season.”

Shauna Duffy, Head Coach at The New Saints FC said:

“This is a fantastic signing for the club. Becca has already shown how hardworking she is and she is extremely committed to her own development. I know she’ll play a crucial part in helping us to achieve success in the season ahead.”
