The New Saints Women are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Tiggy Webb, who joins the club ahead of the start of the new season.

With kick-off in the new Genero Adran Premier season right around the corner, Webb’s signing further bolsters Shauna Duffy’s squad after a busy summer of activity at Park Hall.

Webb arrives at Park Hall having spent the 2023-24 campaign playing in the Genero Adran Premier with Cardiff Met WFC. Prior to that, she represented both Worthing and Eastbourne Borough, while also featuring for second tier English Women’s Championship side Lewes FC Women.

The 22-year-old can play both in midfield and defence, adding versatility to The Saints’ team. In addition, her knowledge of the league and opposition will bring additional experience as the club kicks on in its first season as a semi-professional side.

The Saints’ newest recruit could make her competitive debut on 15th September, as the new season kicks off with a trip to Barry Town United.

Speaking on the signing, Shauna Duffy, Head Coach at The New Saints Women said:

“We’re delighted to welcome Tiggy to The New Saints. Her ability to lead and communicate was apparent from the very first training session.

“She joins with good experience of playing in the Genero Adran Premier too, which will certainly help as we make our final preparations for the league opener on the 15th September.

“We’re confident that Tiggy’s addition will strengthen our team and that she can play a crucial role throughout the season as we strive for a successful campaign.”

    Tiggy Webb added:

“I’m absolutely delighted to join The New Saints. This is a fantastic opportunity for me to develop further as a player and contribute to a team who have made big changes behind the scenes to better their previous record in the Genero Adran Premier.

“I’m excited to get started, work hard, and do everything I can to help the club achieve its goals this season.”
