The Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Festival is coming to Cardiff

Three of the most satisfying things known to man; wine, cheese and chocolate, are coming together in a one-day festival that’s coming to Cardiff this November.

The Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Festival will celebrate the very best in British artisan suppliers. Alongside wine quaffing, cheese gorging and chocolate worshipping, guests can get absorbed by tantalising talks and demos, indulge in tasty food stalls, and pick up enough goodies to pack pantries back home. Tickets for this event, which runs a family-friendly daytime session, start at £12.50 and can be purchased from www.eventbrite.com.

The Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Festival promises to be a day of food and drink heaven. Whether an enthusiastic novice or a seasoned connoisseur, wine experts Vin D’am will introduce guests to the good stuff, helping decipher your Barolo’s from your Brunello’s.

At the tour stop in Cardiff, event organisers will bring together the best local suppliers of this holy trinity of goods. Guests can enjoy regional wine specialists who’ll pair the perfect tipple with the most fitting foods. And if cheese on its own isn’t delightful enough, there’ll also be chocolate flavoured cheese to really bring together these scrummy British favourites.

On arrival, branded cotton bags will be handed out to collect the inevitable buys of the day, plus a branded Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Festival sampling glass. The little ones will be given a kiddie version – their own branded cup for juice or water.

During the daytime session of the Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Festival, while adults are off visiting trade stands and tucking into free samples, the event will cater for children in a Willy Wonka themed kids zone. Let them roll around in the soft play zone and have their faces painted whilst off discovering a new favourite for the cheese board.

For those seeking a tipple not served in a wine glass, a spirit bar will also feature, stocking a variety of popular shorts. And ever merging the realms of chocolate and alcohol, expect chocolate infused products including chocolate gin!

The festival will also incorporate multi-media technology. Guests can grab a pair of headphones and watch cinema-style documentaries, screened by video projection, on the festival’s three specialist subjects – wine, cheese and chocolate. They’ll also be further entertainment with live music and performances throughout the day.

Tickets start at £12.50 for adults and £7.50 for children, both plus booking fees, and under 6’s go for free. Each location will run three sessions per day allowing guests to choose the time of day that best suits, with the earliest session being the family-friendly option.
