Da, part of the Tramshed Tech community, soft launched to Tramshed Tech members and One Central Square tenants in March of this year. Following a successful internal debut, Da has officially opened its doors to the public with a range of locally sourced and internationally inspired food and drinks on offer.

The new coffee shop can be accessed directly through One Central Square or through a new dedicated entrance found to the right of the building.

A unique breakfast and lunch menu is available to eat in or take away, as well as meal deals, coffee and cake offers, corporate catering and coffee subscriptions.

Opening hours are 7.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday with plans to extend opening hours to include evenings and weekends later this year. The venue can also be hired outside of these times for private functions.

Scott Watkins, Manager at Da says “Da is more than just a place to grab your daily cup of coffee, it’s an extension of the Tramshed Tech community, which is all about community and collaboration… and now, coffee!”.

Tramshed Tech is well known for it’s flexible workspace memberships and over the past 18 months, has undergone a significant growth period expanding to new locations in Cardiff, Newport and Barry.

Aswell as a range of coworking spaces, flexible offices, meeting/event spaces, Tramshed Tech run a range of business support programmes aimed at entrepreneurs, startups and scaling businesses at varying stages of business growth. Programmes include; Startup Academy, Investor Readiness Programme supported by British Business Bank and delivery of the Welsh Government Tech Export Cluster.

It has been revealed that as the organisation continues to open new locations including the historic Palace Theatre in Swansea, the Da coffee shop brand will be rolled out as their on-site coffee shop as well as standalone sites as seen in One Central Square.

Louise Harris, Co-Founder and CEO at Tramshed Tech says; “Da is an exciting addition to the Tramshed Tech family – a gateway into our vibrant community”.

Central Square has undergone significant transformation in recent years with BBC, MotoNovo, Hugh James and Legal and General among other relocating to the area. Da is the latest addition, perfectly positioned to provide commuters and neighbouring office workers with locally sourced breakfast, lunch and coffee options.

There are a number of booths available on a first come first serve basis or by booking in advance.

As the name suggests, Da (Welsh for good), pays homage to Welsh heritage with hints of Wales throughout the menu, music and marketing. Scott says; “We pride ourselves on our Welsh heritage, locally sourced produce and sustainable workwear – our suppliers include Coaltown Coffee, Alex Gooch, From Our Farm, Jones o Gymru and Work Shy”.
