    UEFA Euro 2024: All the information including stadiums, cities, tickets and dates

    The UEFA European Championships or The Euros as it is most commonly known is less than 18 months away and will take place in Germany. Euro 2024 will be held in the summer after the  major European leagues have finished their respective seasons. With some of the best players in the world competing for this major trophy, fans are starting to plan their trip to Germany. We bring you all the latest information released by UEFA so far.

    UEFA Euro 2024 Dates

    The 2024 Edition of the European Championships will start on Friday 14th June 2024 at the Allianz Arena in Munich with the final set to be held on Sunday, July 14 at the 70,000-capacity Olympiastadion in Berlin.

    Whilst the fixtures have been announced, the qualification of the tournament has not been completed. The teams will know their fixtures in December this year when the UEFA draw will be made. The group stages for the tournament will take place until 26th June 2024 and the knockout stage scheduled to begin on Saturday, June 29.

    Travel in Germany

    Germany has one of the best rail networks in Europe with high speed trains operating between all major cities. Football fans will be able to travel on the trains and watch games around Germany. The public transport system in Germany will allow for hundreds of thousands of fans to travel around to different cities in comfort.

    Euro 2024: Kick-Off Times

    Whilst the majority of the match times have yet to be decided, the opening game has been announced, 8pm start time in Wales with most other games expected to be the same or similar.

    Euro 2024: Tickets

    UEFA haven’t formally announced tickets for the Euro 2024 but they will announce several months in advance on their dedicated website for the tournament. There will be a high demand for seats in the stadium and some websites already have the expected prices listed for Euro 2024 tickets starting as low as 50 for category 3 up to 200 for category 1. These prices are expected to be confirmed early 2024.

    Euro 2024 Qualification

    There will be 24 teams taking part in the Euro 2024 with Germany guaranteed a spot due to them being the host nation. The other 23 teams will consist of the top 2 from each of the following groups and play-off games for the best other teams.

    Group A: Spain, Scotland, Norway, Georgia, Cyprus

    Group B: Netherlands, France, Republic of Ireland, Greece, Gibraltar

    Group C: Italy, England, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Malta

    Group D: Croatia, Wales, Armenia, Turkey, Latvia

    Group E: Poland, Czechia, Albania, Faroe Islands, Moldova

    Group F: Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Estonia

    Group G: Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Lithuania

    Group H: Denmark, Finland, Slovenia, Kazakhstan, Northern Ireland, San Marino

    Group I: Switzerland, Israel, Romania, Kosovo, Belarus, Andorra

    Group J: Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Liechtenstein

    Euro 2024: The Stadiums

    The stadiums for the tournament have already been announced, with ten venues hosting between 4 and 6 matches each.

    Key Stadiums:

    • Borussia Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park (BVB Stadion Dortmund)
    • Veltins Arena (Arena AufSchalke).
    • Olympiastadion Berlin
    • Allianz Arena Munich

    Can Wales Qualify for Euro 2024?

    Wales have successfully qualified for the previous two European Championships and will be hoping to qualify for Germany 2024. Placed in Group D, the Welsh team will have a difficult task with Croatia and Turkey posing the biggest threat to qualification. If Wales can manage to get positive results against Turkey and Croatia as well as win the other games, they will be on their way to Germany for the summer 2024.
