What can only be described as a ‘massive party’, an aerial view shows crowds gather during the warm weather on the steps of the Senedd with no social distancing.

It comes following the relaxation of travel rules within the Wales’ borders just before the Easter holidays.

Despite Wales beginning a phased approach from alter level 4 to 3 from 27 March, people must continue to follow social distancing rules with those you don’t live with or who are not in your support bubble.

People that you can meet still remains limited, you can only meet people socially (a maximum of 6 people from 2 households can meet outdoors including in private gardens).

The scenes today comes after months of people living under level four lockdown restrictions, the highest level of intervention.

Increased numbers have gathered in Cardiff Bay in the evenings as stay local rules have come to an end and warm weather has arrived this week.

Earlier this week, Cardiff Council was involved in a massive clean up of area after a similar gathering took place in Cardiff. Cardiff Council described the ‘unacceptable amount of litter left in Cardiff Bay’ on Tuesday, 30 March.
