A fast-growing Welsh jerky brand is literally taking off after clinching an exciting order to supply two of Wales’ top adventure attractions, which attracts many thousands of visitors every year.

[aoa id=”1″]Trailhead Get Jerky is supplying its award-winning premium Welsh Beef Jerky snacks, which are made in Welshpool, to the Zip World Penrhyn Quarry near Bethesda and Zip World Fforest near Betws-y-Coed.[/aoa]

Zip World Penrhyn Quarry is home to Zip World Velocity 2, the fastest zip line in the world and the longest in Europe while Zip World Fforest has the UK’s only alpine coaster of its kind, adventure courses high in the trees and Europe’s highest giant swing.

Customers at both attractions can now buy Original, Spicy Chilli and BBQ Beef Jerky from Trailhead’s expanding range of nutritious, high protein snacks. Packets of the Great Taste award-winning jerky are available in the bar at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry and chefs in the attraction’s Blondin Restaurant are looking for ways to incorporate the delicious snack into their dishes.

Trailhead is also working closely with Zip World to produce Get Jerky gift tins for customers to take away as a memento of their exhilarating visit.

Staff from Trailhead will be attending Zip World Rocks, a festival of music and entertainment curated by Mike Peters of the Alarm, at Penrhyn Quarry on Saturday (June 15). The event is for the Love Hope Strength Foundation.

Marni Birchall, Zip World’s social media executive, said:

“We’re very excited to now be offering Trailhead Beef Jerky at two of our three sites. Keeping our products local is what it’s all about, so it will be a perfect fit at our Blondin Restaurant and gift shop!

“We’re looking forward to seeing where this collaboration takes us in the future.”

Emma Morris, Trailhead’s sales manager, said: “Our premium Welsh Beef Jerky is perfect for Zip World’s world-renowned adventure attractions because they are nutritious and high in protein, providing the fuel for customers to enjoy all the activities.

“We hope to add to the memorable experiences when customers discover our Beef Jerky flavours. Everyone who tries them says they are full of flavour and they can actually taste the beef, compared to some other products they have tried.”

Trailhead’s handmade, artisan jerky is produced with the finest cuts of Welsh Beef and marinated using secret, homemade recipes. The jerky contains no artificial flavours, colours, nitrates, nitrites or MSG, which makes it a healthy alternative to sugary and high fat snacks.

Trailhead’s new product development team is constantly coming up with new flavours and ways to use the Beef Jerky in food dishes, whilst the sales team is busy expanding the Get Jerky brand across the UK.

Helping to promote the brand is British Rally Championship leader Tom Cave from Aberdovey whose Hyundai i20 R5 is sponsored by Trailhead this year.
