A Carmarthenshire pet food company has launched a brand-new pet store in the town of Llandeilo.

This will be the fifth pet store to-date for Welsh pet food brand, Burns Pet Nutrition, which is known for its award-winning, healthy and natural pet food range, as well as its support for pet rescue centres, shelters and community projects in the UK.

The new shop will sell a variety of pet goodies, such as food, toys, and accessories, and feature a bespoke health and wellness service offering advice, guidance and microchipping to local pet parents in Llandeilo and the surrounding area.

The store launched during the first week of December and is set to fit in well in the community. Llandeilo Mayor, Owen James, said: “It’s great to see another business open in Llandeilo during such uncertain times. As always, I’m sure the community will support in their numbers. Especially given that Burns has been so active in the South Wales community. Pob lwc i chi ar eich fenter newydd yn Llandeilo”

Burns’ Llandeilo store offers the full range of Burns Natural Pet Food, including its famous original chicken and rice – the product that helped launch the brand into success almost thirty years ago.

The new shop is the latest in a long line of successes for the company, which has sold over 2 billion healthy meals to-date and received numerous awards and accolades including an incredible 92% customer score in the latest Which? Consumer poll of best pet foods.

John Burns, veterinary surgeon and founder of Burns Pet Nutrition, launched his range of premium quality food for pets in 1993. As the name suggests, Burns Natural Pet Food is made using simple, healthy and wholesome ingredients, without any nasty chemicals.

On the launch of the new store, founder John Burns said: “Launching a fifth pet store in the stunning location of Llandeilo is exciting for us, especially after such a strange and tumultuous year for the area and the country itself. We’re hoping that the new Burns Llandeilo Pet Store will become a favourite in the community and provide pet owners with everything they need to support their healthy, happy pets.”

Alongside the launch of several new pet shops this year, Burns has also launched a variety of charitable campaigns in Wales to support community initiatives, local rescue centres and charities. This includes a campaign to give a special Christmas gift to people who have gone above and beyond for their communities, and more recently, an appeal to help support local rescue centres and shelters during a period of crisis.

The newest Burns shop has opened on Crescent Road in Llandeilo, just a short walk away from the main high street and some of Llandeilo’s favourite independent cafes, restaurants and boutiques.
