Wales and British & Irish Lions full-back, Liam Williams has joined leading oil distributor, Oil 4 Wales’ team of high-profile ambassadors completing its regional representation across the country.

The international player, who has recently been signed by Cardiff Blues, joins 17 iconic Oil 4 Wales ambassadors who play across the country’s four regions.

The 30-year-old, who has scored 16 tries in 72 tests for Wales, toured twice with the Lions, featured in two Rugby World Cups and won a Six Nations Grand Slam, will now represent the family-run business, which supplies oil to over 90,000 customers across Wales.

He joins Scarlets players Jonathan Davies, Samson Lee, Aaron Shingler, Daffydd Jones, Ken Owens, Rob Evans, Leigh Halfpenny, Gareth Davies, Dragon player Dan Lydiate and Ospreys players Dan Biggar, George North, Wyn Jones, as well as former rugby players Neil Jenkins, Robin McBryde and Scott Quinnell, together with BBC Hill Farmer Gareth Wyn Jones, and entertainer and comedian Max Boyce.

Oil 4 Wales ambassadors play an important role in representing the company ethos and what it does for Welsh communities.

On completing the team of rugby legends, Liam highlighted his enthusiasm towards working with such a patriotic brand. “I’m really excited to link up with Oil 4 Wales and am really grateful for the opportunity to represent a company so passionate about improving Welsh communities social, environmental and industrial outcomes.”

“Oil 4 Wales already have an enormous amount of talent in their ambassador team, and I am looking forward to playing my part and I am excited to see what we can achieve together.”

Mr Williams will be working with the oil distributor, which has depots in Cardiff, Carmarthen, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Newtown, Lampeter, Maesteg, Brecon and Milford Haven, to support its vision of working with, and for, communities across Wales.

Founder of Oil 4 Wales and rugby fanatic Colin Owens said he was “ecstatic that Liam had joined their family of talented ambassadors to complete Oil 4 Wales’ regional representation across Wales to further support and represent the company’s ethos.”

“We love working with Wales’s leading rugby stars as we feel their passion, dedication, and drive on the pitch really reflects our own work ethic and values here at Oil 4 Wales. As a proud Welsh brand, which works for the community, and with the community, it is our privilege to be able to give our loyal customers a chance to meet their heroes through our initiatives.”
