Shooting sports are constantly evolving, which means that new variations are also emerging, such as AIPSC. IPSC is dynamic shooting, andAIPSCis its airsoft version, so as you can probably guess, airsoft guns are used during it. AIPSC has its own rules and regulations, and anyone interested in this topic can familiarize themselves with them. If you’re planning to start your adventure with AIPSC, this text will provide you with basic and most important information about this dynamic shooting category.

Basic information about AIPSC. What are thetherules?

AIPSC stands for Airsoft International Practical Shooting Competition, which places a great emphasis on practical skills. It is dynamic shooting, so time is also very important, especially the time it takes to complete the course with set targets. Of course, hitting the target cannot be too easy, so lines are used to mark off areas that we cannot enter, which makes it difficult to take the appropriate shooting position. There are also obstacles and screens on the course that make it difficult to pass through and shoot accurately. Each competition may also have its own additional set of rules and restrictions, such as designating areas where reloading your weapon is possible or specifying the equipment and accessories we can use during the airsoft game.

The targets themselves can be divided into zones with different scoring. The winner is the one who accumulates the most points and completes the course as quickly as possible. The competition rules also include safety regulations, and not complying with them can even lead to disqualification – just like breaking other rules of the regulations regarding the game.

What kind of equipment is used in AIPSC?

Airsoft guns are used in AIPSC. These are gas-powered models, and their type depends on the level of competition. In official AIPSC league competitions, only gas powered airsoft pistols are allowed, and their parameters also dependent on the category in which we are competing: Open, Standard, Production, or Classic. In real AIPSC competitions, parameters of other shooting accessories, such as holsters or magazine pouches, are even specified, and the placement of our equipment may also be subject to regulation.

Fans of this dynamic shooting also organize their own competitions, which sometimes allow for other solutions compared to official guidelines. Other types of airsoft guns, such as electric models, may also be allowed, and they do not always have to be pistols. AIPSC is definitely a sport for those who are interested in shooting and would like to try their hand at it, but at a lower cost and without the need to go through restrictive procedures. Airsoft guns are available to everyone and do not require permits like real firearms, and they are also cheaper than firearms. Their prices are often lower than the cost of preparing a pistol for IPSC competitions. At the same time, AIPSC competitions simulate scenarios of exercises that police officers and various agencies undergo – so they are very realistic.
