Poundland is making a comeback to Oxford Street in Swansea, bringing its latest PEP&CO clothing and homeware ranges to the city centre.

The new store at 18 Oxford Street will open on Saturday 18 September, marking a return to the one of the main shopping areas – opposite the Poundland store at 242 Oxford Street that closed in April.

It will have around 8,500 square feet of retail space and will employ 19 colleagues.

Poundland Oxford Street features the full range of PEP&CO clothing for the whole family and PEP&CO homeware which launched last year to rave reviews for its value and quality.

Big sellers include jeggings, T-shirts, pyjamas, shorts, socks and joggers, while PEP&CO’s children’s range has made a big impact this year with its schoolwear.

For those wanting to give their homes a makeover Poundland prices, favourites include crushed velvet throws, tassled cushions, ornaments, towels, and artificial plants.

While the store will offer the everyday essentials, including groceries, drinks and snacks shoppers love, they will also be able to see revamped health and beauty, entertainment, stationery and craft ranges. It means shoppers can buy more of what they need in one trip.

Poundland retail and transformation director, Austin Cooke, said: “We were sorry to say goodbye to Oxford Street and we couldn’t be happier making a welcome comeback and playing our role in breathing new life into the heart of Swansea.

“The opening will be just in time for our PEP&CO autumn and winter ranges and will give shoppers plenty of choice as thoughts start turning to Christmas.”
