Tickets are now on sale for the Royal Welsh Winter Fair 2026, with thousands of visitors set to descend on Builth Wells for two days of livestock, Welsh food, shopping and festive entertainment.
The popular event will return to the Royal Welsh Showground in Llanelwedd on Monday 30 November and Tuesday 1 December.
Recognised as one of Europe’s leading prime stock shows, the Winter Fair brings together some of the finest livestock from across Wales and beyond, alongside hundreds of trade stands, competitions, food and entertainment.
Livestock exhibitors still have time to enter this year’s event, with entries remaining open until Wednesday 7 October.
Top-quality cattle, sheep, pigs and horses will compete for championship titles and prestigious trophies, while the final day will see prize-winners go under the hammer in the show rings.
Away from the livestock, visitors will be able to enjoy a packed programme of competitions and classes covering floral art, hounds, dressed poultry, eggs and pigeons, butchery, meat hampers, cookery, produce and handicrafts.
The Winter Fair has also become a popular destination for Christmas shopping, with hundreds of trade stands offering gifts, crafts and other products.
On Monday, the showground will remain open for late-night Christmas shopping before a pyro musical firework display brings the day to a close at 7pm.
Welsh food and drink will also feature prominently throughout the event. The Food Hall will showcase products ranging from artisan cheeses and baked goods to seasonal treats and gifts.
The Gwledd | Feast area will bring together Welsh street food and local producers, with live music on the Gwledd Stage across both days.
With the event taking place during term time, schoolchildren and college students will also have the opportunity to learn more about the journey of food from farm to fork.
The Countryside Careers programme will highlight careers across the rural, agricultural and land-based industries, while younger visitors will be able to visit Santa’s Grotto.
Schools, colleges and universities planning group visits must register by 12 October.
The Royal Welsh Winter Fair will open to the public at 8am on both days.
Advance online tickets cost £24 for Monday and £22 for Tuesday, while children’s tickets cost £5 and under-fives can attend free. Royal Welsh Agricultural Society members can also access discounts.
