All the homes at a new housing development that will deliver funding of more than £1 million in Monmouthshire have now been sold.

Buyers have purchased all 108 new houses for private sale at Greystone Meadows, in Undy, where Bellway is delivering a total of 144 properties, including 36 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership.

Construction work began on the 34-acre site off Parkhurst Drive in 2019.

During the course of the build programme, Bellway teamed up with a local professional landscape garden designer to transform the back garden of one of the homes at the development, in a bid to showcase how to create the perfect outdoor space.

Lewis Gater, Sales Manager for Bellway Wales, said: “Greystone Meadows has proved to be a popular development with housebuyers in the area, which is reflected by the fact all homes have been reserved well in advance of the final properties being completed.

“The attractive village location has drawn a range of buyers, from those seeking a quiet life in the village to commuters who need easy access to the M4 for travelling to Cardiff or Newport.

“The team at Greystone Meadows are immensely proud of all the hard work that has gone into delivering these homes, which have helped to address the need for new housing in the area while creating a new community at the northern edge of the village.

“Greystone Meadows has also delivered a significant financial investment in the local area, with funding of more than £1 million provided through our planning agreement with Monmouthshire County Council.”

Financial contributions provided by Bellway as part of the planning agreement for Greystone Meadows include £800,000 towards recreation and community facilities, £200,000 towards improvements at Magor railway station, and £175,000 for local bus service improvements.
