The foodie favourite that is the Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival is back with a bang again this year with a whole host of tasty treats to tempt festival goers across the end of May Bank Holiday Weekend (Sun 28 – Mon 29 May).

With something to suit all diets, ages and interests – moreish meats, vegan varieties, curries, cheeses, chutneys; scrumptious ciders, great gins, sweet treats and so much more – it promises to be a real highlight in this year’s calendar.

New to this year’s festival include the award-winning Keralan Karavan, bringing a taste of stunning Southern Indian cooking street-food style, along with Pontyclun-based Rock & Scallop, showcasing the best of Welsh and British fish ‘from the shore to the door – or on the go!’

The much-loved food demos are also back for 2023; a Saturday Kitchen set up guaranteed to entertain.

    2. Quench the thirst – scrumptious ciders, great gins and the finest real ales, whiskeys and wine; tempting teas and premium coffees to enjoy too.

    4. Food Demos – take a seat and watch some top chefs cook up a delicious dish.
    5. Fun for all the family – Child friendly activities and entertainment for all ages at the Old Hall Gardens – go potty for Petanque, get up close with birds of prey, enjoy ‘Slimetastic’ fun, and make your own milkshakes.
    6. Animal magic – Forage Farm will be supporting the event from their festival park and ride site at Penllyn Estate with animals on the lawn.
    7. Get crafty – pick the perfect gift; glassware, artwork, jewellery, woodwork and more!
    8. Charity support – learn about the fabulous and dedicated work of both Ty Hafan and the Dogs Trust.
    9. Beat the traffic – free park and ride from Cowbridge Comprehensive and Penllyn Estate, with buses flowing throughout the day taking visitors to the heart of the action right in the centre of town.
    10. Soak up the festival vibe –  A high street bustling with atmosphere as local traders join in the festival fun – a food festival, but so much more than just a food festival!

As well as the main festival site, the Old Hall Gardens will be buzzing with lots of family-friendly activities to enjoy – interactive slime making workshops with the Slime Factory; plenty of colourful ideas (and slime!) to take home, artist workshops, falconry, pétanque and the chance to create your own favourite milkshake flavour with The Milk Shed team.
